EMTA Guitar Trio

The program features works by René Eespere, Alberto Ginastera, and other composers.

Erik Leedjärv started learning guitar at Nõo Music School under Vaido Petser and continued his studies in 2019 at the Heino Eller School in Tartu with Pääp Peterson. He is currently studying at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, focusing on guitar pedagogy under Heiki Mätlik. Erik's favorite composer is Johann Sebastian Bach, but he also enjoys performing contemporary pieces, exploring sound tones and dynamics.

Meriliis Saar graduated from the Tallinn Music School named after Georg Ots in classical guitar and continues her studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, taught by Lauri Jõeleht and Kirill Ogorodnikov. Besides classical guitar, she experiments with various styles and ensembles, with a particular interest in folk music and ensemble playing.

Francesco Maggio started learning guitar at the age of 9 and has won awards in guitar competitions in Salento, Foggia, and Amigdala. Since 2022, Francesco has been teaching guitar at the Nino Serafini Conservatory. He has a keen interest in chamber music for guitar and is currently an Erasmus exchange student at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, studying under Heiki Mätlik.
