There are 2 imposing castles on both sides of the Narva river. It is quite a sight. Because of the ongoing restoration works, I didn't visit the interior of the castle. But you can walk around the grounds freely, which give you good views of... Rohkem

Had a look around this castle right on the border with Russia. It was a great day out with lots of stairs to climb but the views from the top across to Russia are worth the climb. A great day out with family and children. Rohkem

The small restoration works are being in the fortress, but you can have the walk inside. The restaurant in the fortress is also good. Rohkem

We visited when the castle was undergoing significant repair and renovation work. Not many people around. As such, the place felt a bit lacklustre in itself. However, the view is worth it. To the best of my knowledge, no castles in my homeland have fantastic... Rohkem

I was there during renovation. Nothing to see. Open was only tower and yard. Rooms in tower was almost emty. No exhibitions. If you hope to get nice view from tower to Russian fort then you are wrong. There are only small windows in highest... Rohkem

Visited a number of times. A lot to see and experience. A definite must is a visit to the top level of the tower to enjoy lovely view of Narova river and Russian neighbor town of Ivangorod. Rohkem

Stunning architecture of fortifications as East meets West. The Narva Castle was built in the 14th Century to guard the Narva River and has its counterpart (although much bigger ) on the Russian side. The virtual border between the two countries lies in the mid-stream.... Rohkem

However, the castle was under construction, we were allowed to get in and had a tour. The castle looks really small and boring but from the inside is pretty interesting. The tower and views are definitely the best, as you can nice see the border... Rohkem
