Lecture "Research Sources of Narva Wooden Baroque" (EST)
Event overview
Lecturer: Hannes Vinnal.
The lecture will be conducted in Estonian.
Please note! The lectures will take place in a hybrid format both at the Narva Museum (Rondeel Restaurant, on the third floor) and in the Zoom environment.
In the presentation, we will examine the current state of research into Narva's Baroque wood carving art and identify the written and visual sources in Estonian and foreign archives that enable the study of heritage that has either been destroyed or survived in isolated details. Special attention will be given to the previously little-known Otto Kletzl's photo collection located in Germany, which captured traces of Narva's Baroque flourishing just before they were shattered.
Choose the lecture format that suits you.
