Narva Museum has been nominated by the British Guild of Travel Writers for the "BGTW International Tourism Awards 2023" in the category of "Best Tourism Project in Europe".

The British Guild of Travel Writers (BGTW) is a community uniting over 250 accredited writers, photographers, authors, podcasters, bloggers, and broadcasters.

The BGTW International Tourism Award is given for outstanding tourism projects in the UK and other countries worldwide, visited by BGTW members during their travels and deemed deserving of wider recognition. Projects must have been launched or opened within the last three years.

In August 2023, BGTW members voted on all the nominated tourism projects.

Narva Museum was nominated by travel writer and BGTW member Rebecca Hay. Commenting on the project, she said, "It was an excellent museum, especially for children."

Stuart Render, BGTW's co-chair and director of awards, says, "Each year, our members nominate tourism projects and initiatives they've visited and believe deserve broader attention. Being a finalist is not only an achievement in itself but also acknowledges the important role of Narva Museum in attracting visitors and contributing to the region's economy."

Also nominated for "Best Tourism Project in Europe" were: British Normandy Memorial, Ver-sur-Mer (France); Chacho Souvenirs (Gran Canaria, Spain);

FLUGT – Refugee Museum of Denmark (Denmark); Narva Museum (Narva); Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (Belgium).

The winner in this category was the FLUGT Museum (Denmark). Congratulations to our colleagues!

The winners of the BGTW International Tourism Awards were announced at the BGTW Annual Gala Awards ceremony in London on November 5.
