At first glance, the work of a museum may seem measured and deliberate, but this is just an external impression. Modern museums are dynamically evolving organizations that face a variety of challenges along their development path.

The crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the importance of effective crisis communication. We have learned to timely and correctly inform visitors about safety measures, temporary closures, and other changes in the museum's operating mode.

How to clearly and precisely formulate outgoing messages for the public, as well as maintain the morale of the staff and keep the wider community informed, today all this is taught to the museum team by Kadri Lainas, a communication specialist.

The training "Conveying Clear Messages and Crisis Communication" is part of the ER3 project.

The project is funded through the Estonian External Border Programme for the 2014-2020 period and was launched in September 2019. The project duration is about 50 months and will conclude by the end of 2023.

The total budget of the project is 5,933,995.36 euros. The budget portion allocated to SA Narva Muuseum is 4,262,091.52 euros, of which 3,697,790.60 euros are provided as EU support, and 564,300.92 euros are the state contribution.
