Event overview

Narva Museum invites you to take part in the Christmas programs "Christmas at the Castle 2024."

Christmas is the most heartfelt winter holiday, a time to enjoy a magical atmosphere surrounded by your loved ones. Narva Castle welcomes everyone to the museum’s Christmas programs, where you can revisit traditional Christmas stories, create a souvenir, and immerse yourself in the enchanting pre-holiday atmosphere of the medieval castle.

The program consists of two modules:

First Module Program: "The Gift of the Magi" (60 min)

In the pre-Christmas season, during December, children are invited to the Narva Castle program, where they can experience the holiday spirit, learn about its history, and become part of a true fairy tale! During the program, young visitors will watch a puppet show based on O. Henry’s novella "The Gift of the Magi," embodying the most important Christmas values—love, selflessness, and the true magic of giving. Alongside the characters, children will discover that a genuine gift is not something that can be bought but something that comes from the heart. After the performance, a creative workshop awaits, where each child can create their own memorable souvenir to remind them of the wonders of Christmas. The program promises bright impressions and insights into the holiday’s history and the importance of sharing love and warmth during this special time.

Second Module Program: "A Delicious Gift" (60 min)

Children are invited to a program at Narva Castle where they can dive into the magic of Christmas and create their own culinary masterpiece! In a fragrant workshop, children will bake and decorate traditional Christmas piparkook—a staple of Christmas in Estonia. They will learn how to shape and decorate the cookies with icing. To ensure each child takes home a piece of this magical experience, they will also craft an original package in which to present the cookies as gifts to their loved ones. This program will teach the little participants about the journey of spices from distant lands, unleash their creativity, and show how special it is to create joy with their own hands.

Participants can choose to attend either one or both modules.

      Price:

      • One module: 8 euros
      • Two modules: 15 euros

Booking both modules grants free entry to the castle.
