Learn how Narva, situated at the crossroads of Western and Eastern cultures, attracted enterprising individuals while often facing threats and conflicts. Discover how this city, first mentioned in the 13th century, was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt, maintaining its status as a unique borderland. The exhibition brings Narva’s history to life through the Narva Museum’s collection and stories of its residents. Among the exhibits are key artifacts of Narva's life, including personal items gathered in recent years, such as the suitcase of the Anniko family used during their evacuation from the city in 1944.
