On October 23 and 24, the Narva Museum Art Gallery will host tours led by Tallinn-based artists, restorers, collectors, and the curators of two exhibitions: "Icon Room" and "Corner of the Park. Long-Awaited Meeting" — Andrei and Orest Kormašov.
On October 24 at 14:00, there will be a thematic tour titled "The Image of the Virgin Mary: The Height of Man." This Russian-language tour will be led by Orest Kormašov.
On October 24 at 16:00, join another thematic tour in the exhibition "The Icon Room": "Who Was the Prophet Elijah from the Old Testament?" The tour will also be conducted by Orest Kormašov in Russian.
The exhibition showcases a wide range of icons from different eras, levels of craftsmanship, styles, and regions. By fate, they all ended up in the Narva Museum, each with its unique history. During the tour, Orest Kormašov will demonstrate how an icon can be interpreted and the stories behind its creation.
