13.04.2026 10:00 - 17.04.2026 15:00 / Narva Castle

Event overview

During the spring holidays, Narva Castle will become a real territory of adventure for children aged 7 to 10. Welcome to our “Scoutlandia”!

The spring camp will introduce children to the world of scouting adventures: participants will try to navigate using a map, learn to work as a team, search for clues, and find solutions together. The kids will discover the hidden corners of Narva Castle and gradually acquire useful skills. Together we will learn to notice tracks, sounds, and changes in nature around us, and talk about how to treat the environment with care and why it is important.

Every day, part of the program will take place outdoors.

Each day of the camp will be filled with movement, creative activities, new impressions, and shared discoveries. The children will try out different roles and learn to interact with one another.

And of course, we provide the children with a hot lunch every day!

It’s no coincidence that all tickets for the previous camp at Narva Castle sold out very quickly. Spending several days in a historic fortress under the guidance of experienced instructors is a wonderful opportunity for a child to spend their holiday actively, outdoors, and in an atmosphere of real adventure.

Our advice is to book all five days of the session. First, this helps build team spirit, and the children themselves will enjoy it more. And second, if your child comes for only one day and likes it (and how could they not!), we may end up in a sad situation where we cannot offer a spot for additional days for any price in the world…

Program

■ Monday, April 13 — Pathfinders

On the first day, we will get to know the group and spend the morning playing games with new friends. The castle exhibitions and a team quiz will help us learn about the history of our region and the scouting movement. At the end of the day, we will make badges for our squad.

■ Tuesday, April 14 — Beavers

We will use our imagination and scouting skills to build temporary structures from sticks and rope, useful for outdoor living. We’ll learn to tie strong knots and create sturdy constructions — whether a camp chair, a lookout platform, or even a bridge. After lunch, we’ll dive into history and learn how craftsmen in Old Narva built wooden structures. We will also build a catapult for a friendly competition.

■ Wednesday, April 15 — Sea Wolves

We will learn about sea scouts and the history of navigation in our region. The children will learn to send and decode encrypted messages at a distance and to navigate by the stars. We will discover how ancient sailors measured time and learn to make a sundial and a compass. And of course, fun experiments and team games with nautical knots await us.

■ Thursday, April 16 — Forest Trails

Hermann Tower will turn into a mysterious forest, and together with the squad we will set off to explore it. We will learn what animals and birds live in Estonian forests and what it means to be a friend of nature. At the end of the day, we’ll create a squad meeting place with a tent. We’ll also revisit well-known traditional games, and every participant will have the chance to teach the others their favorite game.

■ Friday, April 17 — On a Hike!

We’ll go on a hike through the surroundings of the museum in search of the hidden secrets of Narva Castle. Our companions will be maps, compasses, and binoculars. We’ll play games that test observation, memory, and navigation skills. After completing the whole route and the obstacle course, the squad will receive a sweet prize and enjoy a picnic in the courtyard or inside the castle. As a keepsake from the camp, we will make personalized bracelets.
