As part of the Heritage Protection Days, the Narva Museum invites you to a special tour that reveals the castle as it’s rarely seen. Archaeological collection curator Yaroslava Nazarova will uncover the hidden history of the Western Courtyard and the Convent House, sharing the latest research findings from recent years.
This is not your typical museum tour — it’s more like a detective story, where clues are read from stones and walls. The guide will explain how layers on stone surfaces, “scars,” and patches in masonry reveal construction phases and how these discoveries reshape our understanding of the castle. A special bonus will be access to rooms that are usually closed to the public.
