Rules for Staying at Narva Castle Caravan Park
Narva Castle Caravan Park is a short-stay area for motorhomes and caravans located within the grounds of a medieval castle, in a public space and within a heritage protection area.
All guests are kindly requested to treat the area with care, to respect its historic character, and to comply with the following rules.
- Vehicles may only be parked perpendicular to the wall. Parking either front-in or rear-in is permitted. Free-form parking is not allowed.
- Please keep your vehicle locked. Narva Museum is not responsible for items left unattended in unlocked vehicles.
- As you are near the state border, the use of pyrotechnics, fireworks, and drones must be coordinated in advance with the Police and Border Guard Board (PPA Narva Border Point Control Centre, ida.narva-pp.jp@politsei.ee).
- From 22:00 to 07:00, the Narva Castle территории is closed. Exceptions are possible by prior agreement
- Quiet hours apply on the territory from 22:00 to 07:00. During this time, noise, loud conversations, music, and any other activities that may disturb other guests or visitors are prohibited.
- The use of music or other audio equipment is not permitted in a manner that allows sound to be heard outside the caravan or motorhome.
- Being without clothing or partially undressed on the territory is not permitted, nor is sunbathing in open areas.
- The lighting of open fires and the use of charcoal or wood-fired grills are prohibited within the West Courtyard.
- Between 07:00 and 22:00, when the territory is open to visitors, cooking outside the caravan is not permitted. After the territory closes, from 22:00 onwards, the use of a gas grill is permitted, provided that this does not disturb the peace, compromise safety, or affect the cleanliness and order of the territory.
- Grey water disposal and WC cassette emptying are permitted only between 20:00 and 09:00 and only at the designated service points.
- As Narva Castle is located in a border area, the use of drones, including for photography and video filming, is prohibited without prior authorisation from the Police and Border Guard Board.
- Guests are kindly requested not to dry laundry or towels outdoors during the hours when the territory is open to visitors, i.e. from 07:00 to 22:00.
- The territory, structures, equipment, and utility connections must be used with due care and only for their intended purpose. Damaging surfaces, walls, historic elements, utility networks, or other property is prohibited.
- The Caravan Park is intended for calm and short-term stays. Guests are requested to refrain from behaviour typical of long-term camping if it may disturb other guests or conflict with the character of the historic site.
- The placement of large quantities of personal belongings, furniture, clothes-drying racks, or other equipment in outdoor areas is not permitted if this creates visual clutter or obstructs movement.
- The use of electric generators on the territory is prohibited.
- Pets are permitted only under the supervision of their owner and must not disturb other guests. Owners are required to clean up after them.
- The movement of vehicles on the territory is permitted only for arrival, departure, parking, and access to service points. Driving is allowed only on paved surfaces. Driving on grass is prohibited.
- If a cargo trailer fits within a single parking space with a width of 6 metres, it may be parked next to the caravan or motorhome. If the cargo trailer does not fit within a single parking space, it must be parked outside the gates of Narva Castle or a separate full-size caravan pitch must be booked for it.
