Bastion camp
The Bastion Camping at Narva Castle is an atmospheric tent camp located on a 24/7 guarded territory of the medieval castle, right above the historic “Kristernwald” bastion.
This is a simple and cozy opportunity to spend the night in one of Estonia’s most historic places. The tent camp is suitable for hikers, bicycle travelers, and anyone who wants to stay in an unusual open‑air location. Here you can enjoy a comfortable and safe night in the medieval atmosphere of the castle while being only a few minutes’ walk from the city’s main attractions: the riverside promenade, the old town, and the authentic exhibitions of the Narva Museum.
We are happy to welcome your well‑behaved four‑legged friends, provided that you take good care of the environment and always clean up after your pet.

The price includes:
- Tent site (basic price includes accommodation for two people)
- Electricity connection
- Use of sanitary facilities: shower, toilet, washbasin
- Access to drinking water
- Wi‑Fi
- Waste disposal
- Use of a designated campfire area
- Guests may enjoy their meals in the gallery of the Rondel Tower, where tables and benches are available. From here you have a beautiful view of the Western Courtyard of Narva Castle.
- Increased security: video surveillance and a closed territory at night

Good to know
- The castle does not provide camping equipment rental (tents, sleeping bags, mats, etc.).
- Car parking is arranged separately; bicycles can be securely locked within the campsite.
- Between 22:00 and 07:00, the castle territory is closed. Exceptions must be arranged in advance.
- Bastion camp guests receive discounts: 10% off admission to Narva Castle and the Art Gallery; 10% in the souvenir shop; 20% in the summer café “Maitsepaik”.
