We explore how a medieval city functioned and the role played by craftsmen and merchants. We examine objects and images, discuss the layout of streets, marketplaces, and city governance. Through a simple role-playing activity, participants experience a day in the life of a town resident and understand what everyday life in Livonia depended on.
